Colors To Look Out For In 2022
Going into 2022 I think we are going to start to see a whole lot more color. Neutrals were a heavy focus this past year and as we look forward to brighter times that will be reflected in the fashion world. If there is one year you should try and be bold make it this one. Add some color whether it be a boot, clutch, coat, or pant. One of the best things about fashion and clothes is the variation in expression. You should use this year to be loud and adventurous with your wardrobe. Try something new. Wear a color you would never wear. I promise this is what is going to have everyone asking about your outfit.
Veri Peri
Pantone has already announced their color of the year, Veri Peri, a blue-purple hue. As Pantone explains this color is all about opportunity. It is bright, joyous, and sparks creativity. The color PANTONE 17-3938 comes from the blue family with violet-red undertones. Overall I think we are going to see varying shades of blue and purple throughout the year.
Emerald Green
Another color that we have already started to see popping up everywhere is Emerald Green. This is such a versatile color that can be added to any outfit for pretty much any season. This deep green color is gorgeous. I predict we will see a lot of emerald gowns that will be turning heads this year in fashion. This color just screams elegant and sophisticated.
Off-White & Creme
We will also be seeing a lot of off-white and creme-based pieces trending this year. Pearls are definitely making a comeback and I think the color will carry throughout an outfit. I think monochromatic fits are always a power move and this is definitely a color you want to do it with for a classic and clean look. I think extreme old money vibes have entered the chat here.
Bubblegum Pink
Lastly, how could I talk about color without talking about my most favorite, PINK! Pink for me is the one color I will never stop adding to an outfit. It is so fun and flirty. Specifically this year I think we are going to see a lot of bubblegum pink, especially in the spring. It is such a soft and perfect color for any type of occasion. (Pro tip: I would pair it with emerald green). Also with Y2K trends being hot right now, I think we will get major Elle Woods and Paris Hilton inspo.
